William Riakos contributed to the Middle East’s largest integrated leisure and theme park destination that is spread over 25 million square feet. The overall development comprised 100 rides and attractions and consisted of three theme parks. He discharged contract negotiation advice and general contract administration consultancy on the early works phase of the project.
The challenge was to identify and devise mitigation measures, to address risks in the proposed construction contract, acceptable to both parties.
On this fast-track project, William’s leadership was integral in resolving how to best utilise a limited supply-chain. The final solution involved a more rigorous market-testing exercise to demonstrate value for money. An innovative approach to the procurement of key structural elements was also crucial to a successful bid.
